Personal data is processed only where necessary to operate the website, answer enquiries, take contractual steps, comply with legal duties or protect legitimate interests. Depending on the purpose, processing is based on Article 6(1)(a), (b), (c) or (f) GDPR.

3. WordPress.com hosting

This website is hosted by WordPress.com. For European users, relevant services are provided by Aut O’Mattic A8C Ireland Ltd., Grand Canal Dock, 25 Herbert Place, Dublin, D02 AY86, Ireland. Automattic Inc., 60 29th Street #343, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA, may also participate in processing.

Technical data such as IP address, browser, operating system, device information, referring page, visited pages and access time may be processed to deliver and secure the website. Automattic states that server logs and IP addresses used for site statistics are generally retained for approximately 30 days. See the Automattic visitor privacy notice.

4. Cookies

WordPress.com and Automattic may use cookies, pixels and similar technologies for necessary functions, security, traffic measurement and, where applicable, advertising. Where consent is legally required, processing takes place only after consent. Cookies can be restricted or deleted in your browser settings. See the WordPress.com Cookie Policy.

5. Jetpack Stats

Built in WordPress.com and Jetpack statistics help identify general traffic trends such as page views, referring pages, approximate country and popular content. A tracking pixel loads in the visitor’s browser and technical information including the IP address may be processed. The legal basis is consent where required and otherwise the legitimate interest in improving the website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

6. Contact form

The Contact page uses Jetpack Forms. Form entries and technical information such as IP address, user agent and submission time may be stored in the website database and emailed to me. If Akismet is active, the submitted name, email address, message, IP address and user agent may be checked by Automattic for spam.

Processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual enquiries and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other enquiries and spam prevention. Enquiries are deleted when no longer needed unless legal retention duties apply.

7. Comments and public interactions

If comments or other public functions are enabled, submitted information may be publicly visible. WordPress.com may process account and technical data to provide the feature and prevent misuse. Please do not publish sensitive personal information in public comments.

8. External, social and affiliate links

This website links to social platforms, partner shops and other websites. A normal link does not transmit data to the destination until it is clicked. After leaving artofjassi.de, the privacy terms of the destination apply.

Some links are affiliate links. Partner shops may use cookies or similar technologies after a click to attribute a purchase. Affiliate relationships are disclosed in the relevant content and explained on the Transparency page.

9. International transfers

Service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers are protected by an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or another legally recognised safeguard.

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for its purpose or required by law. Contact enquiries are deleted after completion unless contractual, commercial or tax retention obligations require longer storage.

11. Your rights

You may have rights to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, data portability and withdrawal of consent. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. This website uses encrypted HTTPS connections. No internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. This policy will be updated when website functions, service providers or legal requirements change.
